This photo is part of a mosaic on a school wall in Columbia Road East London, it reminded me of the mosaic pieces that adorn Tottenham Court Road tube station. I did a little research and was startled to find out that London Transport are getting rid of some the mosaic as part of there regeneration process. The mosaic at Tottenham Court Road was done by a Scottish sculptor Eduardo Paolozzi in the 1980s. www.thejoyofshards.co.uk

I think it's always strange when you know what a designer looks like, the image of himself/herself actually precedes there own work. The Retrospective of Wim Crowel is on at the Design Museum from the 30th of March until the 03th of July. I am going to check it out and report back.
